The reappraisal of women artists is well underway. Museums, collectors, and the art market are increasingly turning their attention to female makers who long remained overlooked, despite their artistic and art historical significance. The exhibition Vrouwenpalet, presented at Kunsthal Rotterdam, Museum De Wieger, and Museum Dr8888, has played an important role in this shift. Within Bob Scholte Fine Art, this development forms one of the pillars of the gallery.

With Women's Palette the collection, I present a selection of works by women artists, including Lizzy Ansingh, Coba Ritsema, Suze Robertson, Nola Hatterman, and Bertha van Hasselt. Many of these artists moved within the circle of H. P. Bremmer, the influential art educator who played an important role in shaping their artistic development and visibility.

This collection is the result of a necessary correction within art history, independent and distinctive women reclaiming their place in both the canon and the market.
