By providing clarity on price structure, art historical context, condition considerations, and the balance between supply and demand, I make the playing field transparent, allowing you to buy with confidence.

If desired, I can also handle the negotiation with the selling party to secure the best possible terms.

Thanks to my knowledge of provenance, previous transactions, and the price levels at which dealers originally acquired works, the room for negotiation often becomes clear very quickly, offering a significant advantage at the point of purchase.

02 / Acquisition Agent, First Choice Access

Which collector would not want first choice? If you are searching for a specific artist or a hard-to-find piece, I act as a local acquisition agent to locate and broker exceptional works, often before they become visible on the market.

Thanks to an international network and my regular presence at major art fairs, often before opening, the chances of securing access to precisely those works that rarely remain available for long are significantly increased.

Fee: 5 to 15% success fee, on a 'no cure, no pay basis'

03 / Auction Bidding Service

A busy week, a meeting that runs over, or a lot closing at exactly the wrong moment? With our bidding service, you simply never have to miss an important lot again. I manage the entire bidding process, from registration and coordination with the auction house to placing strategic bids within your predetermined limit. This keeps price development under control and increases the likelihood of a successful acquisition.

Everything is handled discreetly, precisely, and without requiring you to follow the auction yourself. Following a successful purchase, the auction house invoices the work directly in your name.

Fee: €120 excl. VAT per lot, plus 3% of the hammer price

04 / Auction Watch Service

Are you busy running a business and simply do not have the time to monitor international auctions? Each week, I screen thousands of works across the auction market, a process that takes well over 12 hours, while actively incorporating your collecting preferences. This allows me to identify the works that align with your collection.

Because every collecting objective is different, this service always begins with a personal consultation. In a brief conversation, we define your wishes, artist, period, medium, dimensions, and budget. From there, a focused and ongoing search strategy takes shape.

This service is ideal for collectors who do not wish to lose time searching the auction market themselves, yet still want access to the right opportunities and the excitement of the chase.

Fee: monthly retainer, tailored to the wishes and intensity of the search request

05 / Offer Your Artwork for Sale

Would you like to sell your art directly? Simply send photographs of paintings or works on paper by Dutch and European artists from the period 1850 to 1950 via WhatsApp or email. Based on the images, we can quickly assess whether the work fits within our collection and would be pleased to discuss the possibilities for direct acquisition.

06 / Consignment & Private Brokerage

I advise and facilitate the sale of your artwork by taking it on consignment and formalising the arrangement in a carefully considered agreement. This sets out the agreed selling price, consignment period, commission and other relevant terms. Throughout the process, the work remains in your ownership, while we oversee its presentation, insurance and discreetly introduce it to suitable collectors.

Consignment sales are conducted on a 'no cure, no pay basis', ensuring that each work is given the time, attention and exposure required to find the right new home.

Each consignment begins with a careful discussion of expectations, pricing, and positioning within the market. Throughout the process, you remain closely informed, so the course of the sale remains clear and transparent.

Fee: 15 to 30% commission on the realized price

07 / Art Valuation Service

I provide independent valuations of Dutch paintings and drawings from the period 1800 to 2000, with careful consideration given to art historical context, provenance, and condition. For insurance, sale, loan, or estate purposes, you may receive either an oral opinion or a substantiated written valuation report. To avoid any conflict of interest and ensure an impartial judgement, I do not acquire works that I have valued myself.

Each valuation is tailored to its purpose and the specific requirements of the situation.

Fee: €120 per hour, excl. VAT

Online fee per artwork: €45 incl. VAT
